Who Are We?
We are a family run, friendly local company that believe in customer focused service and quality products. 1066 Pools was started in 2008 by myself, Robin. The company has grown serving customers both at our hot tub show site and also out and about in vans with the hands-on work. My wife Sue is the Office Manager, and we have a dedicated team of staff to meet our customer’s pool and hot tub needs.
My education background is with engineering diplomas, and I started my working life with a specialist pump engineering company. After working with one of the leading UK manufactures of swimming pool equipment I formed 1066 Pools to provide hot tub and swimming pool services to customers in East Sussex and Kent.
Layla the dog is part of the team as head of security, she mostly guards Robin’s van but is often found sleeping on the job. Being a rescue dog from Dog’s Trust she had a difficult start in life and gets nervous if disturbed, she is known to eat biscuits or unattended lunch.
What Products Do We Supply?
Hot Tubs
We supply quality new hot tubs that can be viewed at our show site. Recognising that many customers appreciate the hands-on experience and local after sales care we do not sell online all over the country but supply our hot tubs in East Sussex and the west Kent. Find out more about our ranges here.

Our ever-popular wooden swimming pool kits are designed as a self-build projects so can be delivered all over the UK direct from the factory. We also provide an assembly and installation service for wooden pools in the Southeast of England. Find out more about our wooden pools here.
Our Shop
For our local customers we keep our shop well stocked with swimming pool and hot tub chemicals along with accessories like pool vacuum heads, pool cleaning brushes and poles. We also keep swimming pool pipe and fittings. If you need a specific part or chemical get in touch.
What Services Do We Provide?
For Hot Tubs
For hot tubs sold by 1066 Pools we deliver, position and set them up with a full hand over demonstration. As we are set up with a Spa Dolly trailer, lifting air bag, trollies and all manner of moving equipment we also offer a hot tub relocation service in East Sussex and western Kent.
Service & Repair
We service and repair most brands of hot tubs (but not inflatables) with typical jobs being heater or pump replacements to cure problems like cold tubs or tripping electrics. Find out more here.
For Swimming Pools
For swimming pools, we repair or replace pumps, filters, pool covers, heaters, pipe work and more to help solve problems customers may be experiencing. Much of our time is taken with opening and closing pools at the start and end of the swimming season, also with regular cleaning / servicing visits to pools. Upgrades like pool liners, improved filtration, low chlorine systems like UV or salt-water treatment are available and installed by us.
Where Are We Located?
Our location is at the busy and modern Blackbrooks Garden Centre, Sedlescombe. There is ample free parking, a modern restaurant and toilet facilities. Disabled customer access over the whole site is good.
Being on the main A21 trunk road about 5 miles north of Hastings, access is very easy from surrounding towns like Bexhill, Eastbourne, Hailsham, Heathfield, Tunbridge Wells, Tenterden and Rye. Our pool and hot tub shop is well stocked, but we suggest you give us a call to check opening times and stock if travelling from a distance.
About our Company
We are a UK company founded in 2008 by the current Director.
We carry comprehensive company insurance for goods, goods in transit, public liability and employee liability etc. We are also full members of the Federation of Small Businesses, a respected UK organisation that promotes company professionalism.
As we offer finance on some of our products, we are registered with the UK Financial Conduct Authority and adhere to their strict requirements. You can check our registration on the FCA web site, our number is 650196.
